The International Initiative to Improve the Standards of Reconstruction is looking for partner communities in six regions of Ukraine. In Kharkiv region, AMI accepts applications.

1. As everything was

Partnership for Transparency Europe, together with the NGO “4U” and the Odessa regional organization KVU, is implementing a project to improve the standards of planning and implementation of reconstruction at the local level within the framework of the REPAIR Ukraine initiative. The initiative is funded by BMZ and Czech Development Cooperation and covers six regions: Dnipropetrovsk, Nikolaev, Odessa, Kharkiv, Kherson and Chernihiv.

AMI entered the project as a regional partner for Kharkiv region. The organization knows the regional context, works directly with communities and is responsible for the result on the ground.

2. What the participating communities will get

The selected communities will receive an independent assessment of their own rebuilding processes in line with the Council of Europe's principles of good governance, an analytical report with specific recommendations and a roadmap for change. Next is practical support from experts during the implementation of the recommendations. Finally, together with the local self-government body, a bilingual booklet “Vision of Recovery and Development” is being prepared in Ukrainian and English.

In total, 20 communities from six regions will participate in the project, including several from Kharkiv region.
