Creating a harmonious environment conducive to a healthy lifestyle and safety

The project aims to develop physical activity, cultural life and increase the level of safety in the communities of Kharkiv region. Thanks to UNDP support and active cooperation with local communities, new opportunities for social and cultural development have been created.

How it was

The project was implemented from January to October 2024 in the communities of Kharkiv region, which suffered significant losses due to the war. The main goal is to promote physical, social and cultural rehabilitation of residents through the creation of sports spaces, cultural and educational centers and conducting educational and educational events.

Impressive results

• Sports grounds created: spaces for sports are equipped in 3 communities of Kharkiv region: Novovodolazka, Savynska and Solonytsivska hromada;
• A cinema is equipped: a mobile cinema for cultural and educational events has been created in the Solonitsivska community.
• Conducted educational and educational events: 322 schoolchildren participated, to whom representatives of the youth police provided useful information on safety and social adaptation.
• Promoting a healthy lifestyle: sports grounds are actively used, involving children and young people in physical activity.

Challenges and Achievements

The implementation of the project took place in the conditions of hostilities, which complicated logistics and communication. However, thanks to the adaptive approach, it was possible to complete all stages of the project on time.

Impact on communities

• Physical development: sports grounds have become a place for exercising and popularizing an active lifestyle.
• Cultural enrichment: the cinema serves as a platform for film screenings, educational events and entertainment programs.
• Strengthening social ties: training activities increased the level of trust in law enforcement agencies and promoted social cohesion.

What left this project

The project has created a sustainable framework for the development of local communities, helping to increase their cohesion and create favorable living conditions. He demonstrated how the integration of physical, social and cultural components can provide long-term positive effects.
