The project aims to create three playgrounds in Solonitsivska hromada. This project was a response to the urgent needs of families from the neighborhoods of Zarichanka, Gavrilovka and Vilshany village, who faced the restriction of children's access to quality leisure and physical development due to the war.
The idea of creating playgrounds arose due to the deterioration of conditions for the comprehensive development of children in communities where educational institutions operate online, and most parents lost the opportunity to provide children with private lessons or organize travel to remote activity centers. Local initiative groups of residents appealed to the Agency with a request to help implement their plan. The work on the improvement of the territories and the installation of equipment was carried out by the residents themselves, who already have experience in maintaining public places.
As part of the project, three modern playgrounds are installed, equipped according to the needs of young and middle-aged children. The playgrounds have become a place of active recreation and socialization for children, who were previously deprived of the opportunity to play with their peers due to the lack of appropriate infrastructure.
The project was implemented in a difficult economic situation, but thanks to the coordinated work of initiative groups, community support and active participation of local residents, all tasks were successfully completed. Of particular value was the cohesion of the community and the willingness of residents to invest their own resources and time in creating a safe environment for their children.
The new playgrounds have become a center of activity for children and parents, who now have the opportunity to communicate, exchange experiences and create a comfortable living environment together. The playgrounds promote the physical, social and emotional development of children who have been given the opportunity to fully enjoy their childhood despite the challenges associated with the war.
The “Dream of the Kid” project was an important step towards the restoration of the community, gave children joy and enjoyment of play, and united residents in a common desire to make their land better. The sites created have not only improved the quality of life, but have also become a symbol of resilience, hope and belief in a better future for all residents of the community.
